Microscopic Low Vision Glasses
Introduction
EyeT microscopic glasses are designed for patients who require high magnification for near tasks such as reading, writing, and detailed work.
Each pair combines precision optics with integrated LED illumination to improve contrast and support sustained near vision tasks.
Magnification Power
Microscopic glasses are available in a wide range of magnifications:
From X2 up to X16, depending on the patient’s visual acuity and needs. Higher magnification allows for greater detail, but requires adaptation in working distance.
Field of View
- See more text at once
- Maintain better orientation while reading
- Improve overall reading flow
- Working Distance
Microscopic systems have the shortest working distance among low vision optical devices.
Reading material must be held close to the lenses
The higher the magnification, the shorter the working distance.
This requires positioning the text closer to the eyes for optimal focus.
Patients are guided to find the most comfortable and effective reading position.
Mobility
Microscopic glasses can be designed as:
Bifocal systems, allowing some level of mobility
However, this may significantly reduce the field of view.
These systems are primarily intended for seated, near tasks such as reading and writing.
- Improves contrast and clarity of small text
- Reduces shadows and uneven lighting
- Allows reading in various environments without reliance on external light sources
This is especially important for patients with reduced contrast sensitivity.
